NIneteenth-century photographic view of three houses on Washington Street between Malden and Waltham Streets in Boston's South End neighborhood. An inscription on verso of mount identifies the houses as John D. Williams House, Daniel Weld House, and Thomas Blake House. The three Federal-style houses were built circa 1810 and were taken down in the mid-1860s to make way for the Cathedral of the Holy Cross.
